Farmingville Massage Therapist Due To Be Sentenced For Forcible Touching, Sex Abuse Of Clients

A massage therapist on Long Island who admitted to sexually abusing customers is scheduled to be sentenced.

Matthew Widener, 34, of Farmingville, who worked at the Karasmatic Day Spa in Bayport and Elements Massage in Smithtown pleaded guilty earlier this summer to 11 counts of forcible touching and sexual abuse.

Widener worked at Karasmatic Day Spa for approximately a year, and was immediately fired when his employer was made aware of the allegations. He worked at Elements Massage from June 2013 through December 2017.

Following his guilty plea in June, Widener is expected to be sentenced on Tuesday, Aug. 6, when he faces time behind bars and is expected to be ordered to register as a sex offender.
